New London Architecture

The future of London's industrial space

Talk

Friday 13 December 2019
08:30 - 09:30

This Breakfast Talk will examine the challenges facing London’s industrial land and buildings, and the impact of these for the future.
Industrial space is vital for sustaining London’s economy and its role as a global city. Since 2001, over 1,300 hectares of industrial land in London has been converted for other uses, including housing.

Is the rapid loss of industrial land and premises a natural evolution of changing demands on land in the city, or is it undermining London’s economic growth and potential?
