New London Architecture

CLOSED: Celebrating Excellent Black Architects

Start: 02 June 2017 - 00:00
End: 27 June 2017 - 00:00

The Bldg Centre, 26 Store St, London WC1E 7BT, UK

Showcasing ground breaking architecture across the world, this exhibition celebrates black architects through their works and ideas.
Curated by Simone de Gale Architects following a research highlighting the under-representation of successful black architects, the exhibition developed from a series of interviews with 10 black architects talking about their background, their inspirations and their works. As part of the London Festival of Architecture 2017, it will be on display for the full month of June at the NLA galleries, hoping to inspire young architects, including those from ethnic minority backgrounds, and make us all think differently.
