Supported by the Mayor of London, New London Awards celebrate London and seek the very best new projects across every sector, recognise built and unbuilt schemes that are making and will make a positive contribution to their surroundings.
We’re delighted to reveal a prestigious team of London-based architecture and urbanism Expert Assessors, who will select winners in 14 categories and 6 special prizes. Expert Assessors are encouraged to visit selected projects to inform the shortlisting decision and to be able to make a knowledgeable objective presentation to the International Jury.

THE MAYOR'S PRIZE
Supported by the Mayor of London
Inclusive design of the city
The Mayor’s Prize in 2022 will be awarded, in association with the Mayor of London, to a project that best reflects the Mayor’s ambition for inclusive design of the city. Selected from submissions across all categories, it will recognise the project that best demonstrates what inclusivity, accessibility and participation means for different groups of Londoners, and how clients and designers can work with Londoners to create a city for all. It will highlight a significant priority for the Mayor, as set out in his
Good Growth by Design programme, addressing issues such as women and girls’ safety and participation in public space, projects that exemplify physical accessibility and designing for neurodiversity, and spaces that support social integration.
THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE
In association with the London Festival of Architecture
During the London Festival of Architecture, Londoners are invited to vote for their favourite project from the 2022 shortlist. The project with the most votes will be awarded with the People’s Choice Award.
NEW LONDONER
The New Londoner of the Year Awards celebrates the person who New London Architecture feels has had the most significant impact in shaping the vision of New London, making a positive contribution to the city, and furthering discourse around the future of the London and the built environment industry, whether that is working on a community-led project or leading on significant developments across London.
