Melek Erdal, Programme Lead at LIFT, invites organisations across the built environment sector to share insights shaping a new inclusive training and employment pathway.

LIFT a cross-borough initiative led by Hackney, Islington and Camden Councils, is inviting businesses and organisations in the built environment sector to share their insights to help shape a new inclusive training and employment programme.

LIFT’s mission is to build a more inclusive knowledge economy, with a strong focus on the creative, tech and digital sectors. Through innovative partnerships and targeted programmes, they help people from all backgrounds access opportunities.

So far, LIFT has supported over 500 people from non-traditional backgrounds to gain direct sightlines into paid employment across knowledge sectors, including innovation and life sciences. Now, they aim to extend this impact to the built environment, supporting people without formal qualifications to access entry-level roles and progress through structured training and employment pathways.

This new programme will be designed to create more inclusive and accessible routes into the built environment sector. Industry input is key to ensuring the approach reflects real-world needs and opportunities.

Your feedback will directly inform the design of this flagship initiative, helping it meet industry demand and diversify the talent pipeline.

Complete the short survey and share it with others who may have valuable insights.
