Surveyor Bola Abisogun OBE champions greater ethnic diversity in construction. He was awarded an OBE in 2019 for his services to diversity and work that  encourages young people into the construction industry. 

Bola talks to Peter Murray about his current work and his role as Chair of Moving on Up, an initiative which aims to increase the employment rates for young black men in London, supported by the Mayor. He points to the challenge of making people feeling like they belong, sharing his own experiences of when he joined the industry at a young age. 

Bola challenges others to put themselves out there and stresses the importance of 'showing people the potential of scaling the ladder'.
