The concept of "living together" encompasses a range of housing solutions, from co-living and build-to-rent schemes to purpose-built student accommodation and intergenerational housing initiatives. These diverse housing typologies are addressing market gaps and catering to renters at different stages of their lives, from students and recent graduates to families and older adults.

This PechaKucha will explore how these different housing schemes can unite people from diverse backgrounds and generations, fostering a sense of belonging and connection. Discussions will cover key principles of architectural design that promote interaction and connectivity among residents, alongside strategies for creating inclusive environments.

How can communities be created in high-rise buildings? In what ways can well-designed buildings unite diverse populations through intergenerational living?

Join us to engage with research and schemes that are exploring how our industry can successfully foster communities across such various housing typologies.
