Following the NLA ‘Public London: Activating the City’ report, this event brought together experts from New York and London to share insights on rethinking streetscapes by reallocating space in favour of people.

Focusing on globally famous streets in London and New York, these retail and tourist destinations are facing significant transport and mobility pressures. We explored the transformation needed to create dynamic, sustainable environments and enhance the public realm, strengthening the global recognition of these streets. The discussion emphasised the importance of partnerships and long-term strategies.

This event forms a part of the NLA City Dialogues programme, which brings together speakers and audiences to foster cross-city dialogue and learning between cities.
