As Director of BDP’s Rotterdam Studio, Björn Bleumink combines his passion for human centred architecture and the creation of livable, adaptable cities in one holistic design approach in which architecture, urban design and landscape are seamlessyconnected. With a strong focus on the public realm as active and vibrant space, and with the common domain as incubator for strong and coherent communities, Björn’s vision fits well in the Dutch social housing tradition. Björn has over twenty years of international experience in the design and development of a wide range of urban design and architectural projects across the housing, leisure, education and healthcare sector. He has worked on high profile projects in The Netherlands, South Korea, Germany andthe U.S.A. During his work at Mecanoo architecten he developed strong ties to the United Kingdom and worked on several large scale projects in London and Manchester.
