Collective living: Integrated Neighbourhoods

Talk

Wednesday 27 April 2022
18:30 - 20:30

An in-person presentation, hosted by BDP,  of current projects that champion integrated neighbourhoods and collaborative living. They present co-habitable living amongst inter-generational communities encouraging sustainable futures.
The frequency of integrated living and mixed-use spaces is increasing; the chance to live, work, play and rest collectively across neighbourhoods. Multi-generational living has been around as long as humanity has existed, where older generations support younger generations learning and growing from one another. There is a strong opportunity for enrichment of lives, fostering community feelings of social interaction and togetherness.

Encouraging these connections, healthy living and inclusive activity, uplifts communities to progress positively; tackling key issues of isolation and loneliness, heightened in recent years.
A catalyst for sustainable advancement of local economies, increased demands post-covid for healthy spaces focus on wellbeing for the neighbourhood. Co-living developments are an attractive choice for users, local authorities, and investors alike, because of this accessibility and flexibility. Now is the time to actively facilitate and put the infrastructure in place, to adopt adaptable community living.
