Geoff Hunt, Chartered building surveyor will present the direction of travel of many housing associations and local authorities battling to control condensation mould following the death of Awaab Ishak in November. This will include new management techniques being implemented, the importance of good design to reduce the risks and the over reliance on the assumption that retrofit projects will cure condensation mould. Projects for social housing need a new dialogue to guide the expectations of client groups to provide the housing standards that are sought.
