Health Creating City: Improving access to care

Talk

Join this NLA Breakfast Talk that brings together voices from planning, design, healthcare, and government to explore how London can lead the way as a truly Health Creating City.
In July 2025, the NHS launched its 10-Year Health Plan, a landmark strategy aimed at addressing health inequalities through systemic reform. The plan sets out to reshape how healthcare is structured, funded, and delivered across the UK. But what impact will this have on a local level?

At the heart of the ten-year plan is a commitment to improving local access to healthcare services, with a renewed focus on place-based solutions. This Breakfast Talk will explore how the built environment can enhance access to healthcare by bringing together experts to discuss how design and urban decision-making can support health creation in cities, reaching far beyond the hospital walls.
