New London Architecture

In the spotlight: Lucent

Webinar

Friday 26 January 2024
10:00 - 11:00

Join this webinar to hear a presentation from the team that delivered Lucent, focusing on the technical details of this mixed-use development situated behind London’s iconic Piccadilly Lights.
Previously empty since the 1950s and located behind London’s iconic billboard, Lucent is a major redevelopment and extension project. It unifies 13 distinct buildings, including historic listed buildings, with office, hospitality, retail, and residential units.

With multiple stakeholders and site restrictions, the project required innovative thinking and commercial understanding that responded to its site by combining work, leisure and dwelling, as well as introducing green spaces and natural lighting.

With a sustainable approach, this retrofitting and extension project is targeting WELL Core Gold for workspaces, and BREEAM Outstanding for the entire building.

This Project in Practice webinar brings together the team of client developers, architects, and engineers behind Lucent to deliver a detailed presentation on this mixed-use development in the heart of the city.
