New London Architecture

CLOSED: Don't Move, Improve! 2017 Exhibition

Start: 27 January 2017 - 00:00
End: 29 March 2017 - 00:00

The Bldg Centre, 26 Store St, London WC1E 7BT, UK

Celebrating London’s best-designed and most innovative home extensions completed in the last two years across the capital, this free exhibition displays a wealth of inspiration for those looking to embark on their own home improvements.
With space at a premium in our busy capital, more and more Londoners are choosing to adapt and expand their existing homes rather than upsizing or moving on.
Featuring 120 responses from architects working with London’s eclectic mix of building types, the exhibition demonstrates how homeowners can extend above, below and through their buildings or reconfigure existing layouts to optimise or create space – from interventions in small flats and basement extensions, to refurbished and extended Victorian terraces, Edwardian semis and post-war detached homes.
View this year’s winning projects Learn more about how to embark on your own project with this year’s
‘Don’t Move, Improve! Design Surgeries’ – held on Saturday 25 February – offering free consultations, advice and inspiration to Londoners looking to extend their homes.
This year Clippings have created a 'Shop the Look' showcase of selected projects, which you can explore, find inspiration for your own project and discover the furniture and lighting pieces that bring these spaces to life.
