New London Awards 2022 Shortlist Announced

Thursday 08 September 2022

NLA’s New London Awards 2022 shortlist has now been announced. The annual awards, presented in association with the Mayor of London, celebrate all scales of projects, from community-led to large-scale mixed-use developments, both built and unbuilt, that contribute to and enhance our vision for a New London: a city that is sustainable, civilised and egalitarian, that seeks to improve the quality and standards of new design.

All shortlisted projects across the 14 categories and special prizes have been carefully selected by our team of London-based Expert Assessors. Each project will be presented to our International Jury ahead of our Annual Awards Lunch on 29 November where we will be announcing all winners, including the New Londoner of the Year, People's Choice Award and many more.

MAYOR’S PRIZE

Supported by The Mayor of London

The Mayor’s Prize in 2022 will be awarded, in association with the Mayor of London, to a project that best reflects the Mayor’s ambition for inclusive design of the city. Selected from submissions across all categories, it will recognise the project that best demonstrates what inclusivity, accessibility and participation means for different groups of Londoners, and how clients and designers can work with Londoners to create a city for all. It will highlight a significant priority for the Mayor, as set out in his Good Growth by Design programme, addressing issues such as women and girls’ safety and participation in public space, projects that exemplify physical accessibility and designing for neurodiversity, and spaces that support social integration.

The winner will be announced at our lunch on 29 November.
