Invitation-only launch of Connected Capital, revealing new evidence on London’s built environment as a global export sector, with insights and exhibition.
At this invitation-only event, we will launch Connected Capital: London and the World’s Built Environment, a major new insight study and accompanying exhibition that makes the economic case for London’s built environment as one of the UK’s most significant export sectors.

Hosted for London Leaders NLA members, the evening will present new fiscal evidence from GLA Economics on the sector’s export performance, alongside analysis of its international reach and contribution to national productivity. Drawing on evidence from London-based firms delivering complex projects worldwide, the research sets out a clear agenda for how the sector can be better recognised, supported and positioned within government, spanning trade and industrial strategy, skills, planning and investment policy, to ensure its global value is properly understood and championed.

The exhibition showcases international projects delivered by NLA members, illustrating how London’s expertise is being deployed across cities and regions worldwide. Together, the research and exhibition provide a senior forum to engage with the evidence, projects and partnerships shaping London’s international economic footprint, and to discuss how the sector can strengthen its collective voice with policymakers, drive export growth and reinforce London’s position as a world-leading centre for built-environment expertise.
