London Borough of Lewisham
One of the largest inner London boroughs in terms of both population and area, Lewisham has exceptional transport links to Docklands, the City of London and the West End, world-class education institutions such as Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and Goldsmiths, University of London, and is currently ninth in the country in terms of the number of Green Flag award winning parks.
The regeneration of Lewisham is continuing at a significant pace, with new and improved schools, leisure facilities, public spaces, transport links and other amenities all on their way, particularly in the growth areas of Lewisham and Catford town centres and Deptford and New Cross.
Between them, five strategic regeneration sites – all located in the northern half of the borough – are expected to deliver over 50% of Lewisham's new housing provision during the next decade.
During the past five years, many Lewisham Council-led projects have been the recipients of prestigious design and architecture awards, including five London Planning Awards.
