Robbie Kerr has his own distinct portfolio, designing a variety of projects including new private homes in the UK and overseas, the restoration of historic buildings, and new housing developments. He is developing his own design ethos and interpretation of the Classical architecture principles in all his projects. Robbie is developing the practice’s presence in London and overseas – with projects in countries such as Cuba, Nigeria, Morocco and Hong Kong and Australia. Robbie trained at Edinburgh University and Oxford Brookes before qualifying with Distinction from UCL in 2013. Robbie worked with ADAM Architecture through his university training before joining full-time in 2010, becoming an Associate in 2014 and the youngest Director ever at ADAM Architecture, in 2016.
He is keen to learn from the broader international understanding of tradition and classical architecture; he is becoming a significant contributor to architecture debates, in particular the increasing acceptance of classical and traditional architecture within the wider architecture arena; and is also an active member of a number of architecture organisations and charities. For each project, the focus on managing client requirements, communication, delivery to budget and integration of traditional detailing appropriate to the climate and culture, play an important part in his work. Robbie is driven by the opportunities international work brings to demonstrate the best of Classical design, reflecting the local cultural and environmental sensitivities and to be a part of the ongoing evolution and innovation to find a new modern classicism for the 21st century.
