COMMUNITY PRIZE

Celebrating community-driven design and collaboration, the Community Prize will be awarded to the scheme that demonstrates the most positive and meaningful impact on the place where it is located. Selected from submissions across all categories, successful projects will be exemplary in their response to the social context, contributing to a sense of local identity and helping communities to thrive

Driving for Change is a mobile all-in-one direct intervention service that offers those experiencing homelessness pathways to potentially life-saving key services and centralised support.

Olive Morris Court (OMC) is a ground-breaking 32 SoloHaus modular home development jointly established by Haringey Council and The Hill Group.

Spark Lab

The Spark Lab transforms a disused department store on the high street into a retail incubator and cultural venue and a street into an urban forest of ancient Essex landscape.

Marlborough Sports Garden

Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) has a vision to provide a state-of-the-art mixed sports facility, promoting health and wellbeing, that is freely available to local young people.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY PRIZE

Recognising the most sustainable projects in the capital, the Environmental Sustainability Prize will be awarded to the scheme that shows design strategies that minimise environmental impact as well as an efficient use of materials, a low carbon footprint and innovation. Selected from submissions across all categories, successful projects will be exemplar in creating a more socially and environmentally sustainable net-zero city.

Grafton Way Building, University College London Hospital

Landmark new hospital provides 37,000m2 of contemporary facilities and houses one of just two NHS proton beam therapy centres, making it one of the leading oncology treatment hospitals in the world.

Squire & Partners has developed The Department Store Studios, a four-storey contemporary workspace building adjacent to the practice’s refurbishment of The Department Store in Brixton.

UCL PEARL

PEARL - UCL's first net-zero carbon in-use building - is a unique purpose-built laboratory facility for the creation of full-size environments to test how people use infrastructure and cities.

HYLO

Built

HYLO is the result of the reconfiguration, adaptation and extension of a tired, 1960s-era building to create modern workspace, housing and retail, on a site that’s surrounded by conservation areas.

WELLBEING PRIZE

Projects that put wellbeing at the heart of the design, this prize will be awarded to the scheme that best shows how design approaches that consider key spatial conditions – such as the quality of air, water, light and comfort – can aid mental and physical wellbeing of the people that live or work in them. Selected from submissions across all categories, successful projects will be exemplar in finding ways to create spaces which make people feel better when they inhabit them.

ArtsEd

First phase of the redevelopment and masterplanning of ArtsEd performing arts school. The redevelopment reorganises a previously disparate and physically separated campus into one cohesive whole.
