DP9 was established on 20th April 2004 as a specialist planning consultancy practice and is based at 100 Pall Mall, London, SW1. The practice now has 28 Directors and over 75 professional staff. We have the resources and experience to lead major complex projects.
 
The practice advocates a commercial approach to planning matters, seeking to resolve issues through negotiation and achieve planning permission at a local level. This approach is based on accumulated experience and skill, with the Directors having built up over 300 years of professional experience in planning and development. DP9 is consequently the market leader for major developments in the capital.
 
The practice is currently handling over 500 active projects for retained and new clients in the private and public sectors, advising on over 50,000,000 sqft of residential, office, retail and leisure development.
 
DP9’s clients are primarily commercially focused. This includes many public/private sector partnerships and joint ventures. But our work is not just commercially driven. It includes schools, universities, charities, cultural institutions to name a few examples. 
 
We use our experience and knowledge to formulate robust and successful planning strategies that address the relevant issues. We have been responsible for obtaining planning permission on some of the biggest and most complicated developments in London and the South East, as well as proposals for the comprehensive refurbishment and alteration of existing buildings, including buildings with a sensitive heritage context. We place a strong emphasis on grass-roots engagement, and see this working in tandem with bigger picture politics, financial and commercial drivers.
