Trends and design innovations in London’s hospitality sector

What are the key issues to address when planning hotel development in London? How can London provide additional affordable hospitality to enhance the capital’s tourism offer? What can planning authorities and hotel operators do to ensure the contribution of hotels to their local areas? What are the wider policy changes needed to ensure the sustainable growth of London’s hotel sector?

This NLA year-round programme examines the changing landscape of London’s hotel sector, investigating the current threats to the sector and exploring best practice solutions to meet changing demands. Focusing on hotel’s design, particularly on their social spaces, we explore how hotels can make the city more open and welcoming to both visitors and locals.
